Malpas, you're right - the behavioural patterns are pretty much those established after the Revolution (with an interesting resemblance to the bedroom antics of the ill-fated monarchy).
As for women throwing themselves at Hollande and Sarkozy... a billet at the Elysee is clearly a supremely powerful aphrodisiac.
